Africa Uplifted enriches the lives of the people of Sierra Leone through support of initiatives in the areas of basic healthcare, primary education, essential physical needs, spiritual nurturing and economic development.

Africa Uplifted is a non-profit public charity qualified under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).  Africa Uplifted was established in 2011 as a successor to The Lance and Julie Burma Foundation.

We adopted this mission after visiting the Northern Province of Sierra Leone, meeting with the people and seeing the need with our own eyes. Our hearts and hands were called into service. We focus our efforts in the remote villages where medical care, education and economic development opportunities are limited or lacking. We are working to minister to those in need in one largely forgotten corner of the world.
